Arrest warrants have also been issued for 35 members of the government and military leadership.
A court in Istanbul, at the request of the Attorney General’s Office, has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, and 35 other members of the government and military leadership. A press release was posted on the office’s social media, according to Deutsche Welle.
Arrest warrants have also been issued for National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, and Israeli Navy Commander David Sa’ar Salam. They are accused of crimes against humanity and genocide.
“The State of Israel is systematically committing genocide in Gaza, committing crimes against humanity that have killed thousands of people, including women and children, injured thousands more, and rendered residential areas uninhabitable,” the office said in a statement.
